Curatix Privacy Policy

Single Purpose
Curatix's single purpose is to help users control, filter, suppress, boost, or organize visible YouTube feed cards according to rules and preferences the user configures in the extension.

How Information Is Used
Curatix uses visible YouTube feed card content and locally stored user rules only to provide or improve the extension's single purpose: user-controlled filtering of visible YouTube feed cards.
- To compare visible feed card text and metadata against the user's blacklist, whitelist, clickbait, and channel rules.
- To suppress, boost, label, or otherwise adjust visible feed cards according to the user's settings.
- To save and restore the user's extension preferences locally in browser extension storage.
- To support local import, export, reset, and management of Curatix settings when those features are used by the user.
Sharing, Sale, and Transfer of Information
Curatix does not sell, rent, trade, or transfer user data to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties. Curatix does not send YouTube feed data or user filtering rules to a Curatix server.
Curatix may disclose information only if required by applicable law or if necessary to protect against security threats, fraud, or abuse. Curatix does not use user data for personalized advertising, credit decisions, lending decisions, or unrelated purposes.
Local Storage and Retention
Curatix stores user rules and settings in browser extension storage on the user's device or browser profile. This information remains stored until the user changes it, resets it, imports replacement settings, clears extension data, or removes the extension. Visible YouTube feed card content read by Curatix is processed locally for filtering and is not retained as browsing history.
Security
Curatix is designed to minimize data handling by processing supported YouTube page content locally in the browser. No method of software operation is completely risk-free, but Curatix limits its handling of information to what is necessary for its stated functionality.
User Control
Users can review, change, export, import, reset, or delete Curatix settings through the extension's controls where available. Users can also disable or remove Curatix through their browser's extension management page.
Children's Privacy
Curatix is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure
Curatix's use of user data is limited to providing or improving its single purpose. Curatix does not use or transfer user data for unrelated purposes, personalized advertising, data brokerage, credit-worthiness, or lending purposes.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes to This Policy
InsideOut Gear may update this Privacy Policy if Curatix's functionality, data practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
